Today’s Testing Journal
Based on License No. 293/GP-BTTTT issued on June 23, 2017, by the Ministry of Information and Communications regarding the approval for the publication of Today's Testing Magazine, on July 12, 2017, the President of the Vietnam Association of Testing Laboratories (VINALAB) signed Decision No. 08/VILAS3-QĐ on the establishment of Today's Testing Magazine – a press agency under the Vietnam Association of Testing Laboratories (VINALAB).
The mission and purpose of Today's Testing Magazine is to publish information about the activities of VinaLAB, share the research results of scientists and testing organizations, and serve the information and knowledge exchange needs of members of the Vietnam Association of Testing Laboratories and interested readers.
Decision No. 08/VILAS3-QĐ specifies that the magazine serves as a scientific and technological exchange forum, publishing the content of research topics and scientific studies, contributing to enhancing the quality of human resources in testing laboratories and transferring technology to businesses and organizations with relevant needs.
On June 8, 2018, in Hanoi, the Journalists’ Chapter of Today's Testing Magazine was established, holding its first congress for the 2018–2020 term. The chapter operates under the direction of the Vietnam Journalists' Association. During the congress, the leadership of the Chapter was elected, including Journalist Nguyễn Hữu Dũng as the Secretary and Journalist Nguyễn Thị Mai Hương as the member responsible for verification.
Since its establishment, Today's Testing Magazine has been published bi-monthly in Vietnamese, with its first issue released in September 2017. Shortly after, the magazine registered for the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), and the National Center for Scientific and Technological Information (Ministry of Science and Technology) approved the registration on December 6, 2017 (Document No. 47/TTKHCN-ISSN). The ISSN for Today's Testing Magazine is 2588 – 1469.
To meet the growing demand for specialized information on testing activities, the Editorial Board of the magazine applied for permission to publish monthly issues starting in early 2018. To enhance the scientific content of the print edition, permission was later sought to publish quarterly issues beginning in early 2020.
With the goal of becoming a scientific forum for providing and sharing information about the testing field, on June 24, 2019, Today's Testing Magazine launched its online version (thunghiemngaynay.vn) under License No. 254/GP-BTTTT from the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Thus, alongside the print edition of the magazine, which was authorized for publication on June 23, 2017 (License No. 293/GP-BTTTT), the online version of Today's Testing Magazine has contributed to promptly publishing research studies, overviews in the testing field, and information about the activities of the Association and its members, for readers interested in testing activities both domestically and internationally.
