Accreditation Office for Conformity Assessment Capability (AOSC)
AOSC was established in 2014 and licensed by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2019 it met the conditions to become a full member of APAC and ILAC.
A third-party Vietnamese accreditation body created in the spirit of opening science and technology work to society, the Accreditation Office for Conformity Assessment Capability — AOSC — is a science and technology organisation under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
AOSC
AOSC was established in 2014 and licensed by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Working towards international integration in accreditation, in 2019 AOSC met the full conditions to become a member of the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) and of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). It is one of only two accreditation bodies in Vietnam to have signed the APAC/ILAC mutual recognition arrangement for testing and calibration laboratory accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 (VLAT, VLAC) and for medical laboratory accreditation to ISO 15189 (VLAM). Its work is carried out fairly, transparently and impartially.
AOSC provides conformity assessment services in:
Accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories to ISO/IEC 17025, with certificates valid for 60 months from the date the director signs the accreditation decision, recognised internationally. Accreditation of medical laboratories to ISO 15189, likewise valid for 60 months and internationally recognised. Training on quality management systems for testing, calibration and medical laboratories.
Nine years on, AOSC has established its place in the market: from 34 client organisations in its early years to more than 500 today. It continues to build its capability, has signed the ILAC–APAC mutual recognition arrangement, and is reaching clients across ASEAN and member states.
